iDatastart systems are compatible with a wide range of optional vehicle-specific installation harnesses designed to seamlessly integrate in most cars, with virtually no wire splicing or soldering required. This ensures a more secure connection to the vehicle and is particularly ideal if you plan to remove your iDatastart system prior to returning your leased vehicle or selling your vehicle. Ask your Authorized Dealer if a T-harness is available for your vehicle.
Can iDatastart remotes replace my factory key?
No. iDatastart remotes only enable the long-range control of remote start and various security and convenience features. Your vehicle will still require your factory key or fob to be able to operate your vehicle.
Do iDatastart systems support manual transmission vehicles?
No. iDatastart systems are designed to support automatic transmission vehicles only. Ask your Authorized Dealer for other manual transmission remote start options.
What’s the warranty on idatastart systems?
Your iDatastart system is backed by a “Limited Lifetime Warranty”. If your iDatastart systems fails to remote start your vehicle, simply return it to your iDatastart Authorized Dealer for repair or replacement. See the complete warranty details here.

While some new car dealerships may discourage the installation of non-endorsed aftermarket remote start systems, rest assured that iDatastart systems are safe for your vehicle and should not affect your vehicle’s original warranty.
Can my iDatastart system drain my car battery?
iDatastart systems are designed for extremely low current draw and will not affect your battery life if your vehicle is used frequently. If you plan to leave your vehicle unused over an extended period, we recommend disconnecting the battery to avoid the risk of premature drainage.
Can my idatastart system be transferred to another vehicle?
